KODIAK ~ RADIO EVOLVED

The Wolfsin KODIAK eschews the worst of the angular squared off design common in today’s digital handsets, where poor design and a modern look overcomes functional form. As in nature the KODIAK speaker grill is, on the surface plane, designed to channel away food process/production debris and dust, sawdust and other contaminants including mud and many other thicker liquids. A close look at the speaker grill design shows a forethought to purpose which allows gravity to naturally assist in clearing the grill of any contaminants. Cleaning the KODIAK is easy, by tilting the radio on either side and using a soft toothbrush you simply brush towards the curved end of the speaker grill and brush away away the contaminants. Water is also encouraged to flow side wards away and out off the speaker grill even when the KODIAK is upright. Look below the surface of the KODIAK and you will see that underneath the grill the KODIAK has a protective shield, stopping water and contaminants and helping to reducing the ingress of metal filings. NO OTHER RADIO IS AS RUGGED OR AS EVOLVED AS THE GRIZZLY.'

Wolfsin radios are tested and retested in the remote Scottish highlands and in the mountains of South Island, New Zealand in the most extreme conditions possible. Not only are they manufacture-laboratory tested to the usual MIL Spec 810, TIA/EIA603 and IP specification but are continually extreme tested on land, air and sea trials for months in the harshest conditions possible. Wolfsin test facilities in the UK are based in the outskirts of Inverness, Scotland where we regularly leave Wolfsin radios in biting cold -10 to -25oC conditions for days and nights on end often lying in inches of frozen snow. We test them in driven rain in 100 mph winds. We use them in open waters where they are soaked with sea water*.

We heat them to plus 60-70-80oC and then we drop test them again and again . We test them with our engineers in “trial friendly” sports centres where some models of Wolfsin radios are dropped into swimming pools in depths from 1 to 3 metres for 30 to 100 minutes. We deliberately drop them multiple times onto hard surfaces , throw them, strike them, sit on them, then we do it all again and again until were satisfied that the Wolfsin radio is tough enough to remain a pack member.
