Tacticom have been involved with HYT (now HYTERA) since 2003, longer than any other company in Europe or the UK, over 21 years and have the longest experience of both the HYT products and their business philosophy. In 2004 we were the first and original Scottish distributor and in 2024 we enter into a new systems integration partnership with HYTERA

Since 2003 we have been able to extract the best possible performance from HYTera hand portables and repeaters. It is not all about power output, rather it is about finding the best possible aerial match, the best possible software/firmware tweak to extract another 1dB of receiver performance, it’s about testing, learning and knowing the exact and best length of any duplexer to repeater fly lead to ensure the lowest duplexer losses or harmonics on any given UHF or VHF frequency specifically on the H6 repeater, it’s about making the 10W IP67 repeater work as well or better than the IP54 25W version. On the GRIZZLY version of the H5 hand portable it is about increasing and improving the IP sealing and rating, it’s about sourcing and supplying bigger capacity batteries of the highest standard, it’s about sourcing and supplying an even better aerial than standard to give the hand portable an extra 1 or 2dB effective receive sensitivity. It’s about combining all of the above with the most cost effective and reliable POC gateway, the JPS NXU-2B to ensure that your comms go further, last longer and can be heard anywhere in the country if required using Zebra, Zello Pro and other approved POC service providers.
