Since 2011 Excera has been quietly and steadily developing their DMR radio products, launching in 2013 with the EP/EM 8000 series. The ER9000 slim line 1U repeater was launched a year later (the first ever 1U DMR repeater). In 2017 the EP5000 series was launched. In 2024 the full range of Excera excellent advanced digital radios are available from Tacticom and have now been integrated to work with JPS gateways and professional POC dispatch systems such Zebra and Zello pro.
The Excera products have been adopted by some of the largest systems houses in the world typically for their strong class leading performance, rugged design and exceptional quality. The 19 inch 1U rack mounted repeater is not only the first of its kind but probably the most reliable available anywhere. Now tried and tested to work with all JPS gateway devices enabling them to be integrated into wide, regional and national communication systems. All Excera radio equipment is top tier and is available from Tacticom under their own brand name for the first time in the UK.
We are constantly working with the original designers and engineers to constantly improve the performance of the Excera products for the ultra demanding UK and commonwealth markets. We are working to improve hand portable aerial performance along with receiver tweaks to make the Excera hand portables products able to compete with and excel over other top professional brands. The ER9000 repeater is a point in case, designed, manufactured and tested for constant use - twenty four a hours a day for 100000 hours and still counting (That is over eight years of constant high duty use at high power). Now able to be configured to work directly with the JPS NXU-2B and RSP-Z2 gateways.
Excera products were designed to be exceptional and have lasted the test of time better than any other make or model of digital two way radio. Thus enabling constant upgrading and improvement, yet so advanced for it's time, that the Excera radios have been able to retain their original design shape and concentrate on constant improvement. The result is a range of digital (DMR) radios of unparalleled performance, reliability and advanced functionality.
